Department: Guest Experience and Public Programs

Employment Type: Seasonal, Part-Time, Non-Exempt 

Compensation: $17.25 per hour 

The Event Staff assist with the day-to-day operations of Caramoor’s Events, including assisting with venue load-in, assisting guests inside the theaters and on our grounds, and guiding vehicles to parking spots. Event Staff play an important role in our guest experience, so this is a great position for someone who is warm, friendly and outgoing.  

This position is seasonal and based on the schedule of Caramoor programs, June through August, Thursday – Sunday, afternoons and evenings. A full schedule of events will be available March 10th at caramoor.org.    

Job Duties & Responsibilities  

• Assist in venue setup and cleanup  

• Direct vehicles to appropriate parking areas   

• Control traffic flow between vehicles and pedestrians   

• Manage guest flow in and out of venue  

• Help enforce venue policies  

Required Skills and Qualifications 

• Experience Ability to learn on the job is a must. No experience required, however experience in customer service or working events is a plus. Background or experience in the arts/music is a plus.     
• Customer Service and Communication Skills Must have a friendly and professional attitude and work well with others. Be compassionate and accepting of those of different ages, backgrounds and experience.  Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills desired.  
• Values and Culture Appreciation for creating an environment that supports all guests to be inspired by music; and have a strong commitment to Caramoor’s mission and values. A sincere interest in music, arts or history, a plus.  
• Working Conditions Ability to work in a busy environment with the public, maneuver outdoors in all weather conditions, on woodland trails, gravel pathways and lawns.  Flexibility to work during weekends and evenings for events. Ability to lift/move up to 40lbs. Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
