JOB DESCRIPTION
The Graphics Coordinator serves an important role within the Marketing & Communications Department to create graphics and media content that promotes and elevates Caramoor’s artistic programming, fundraising, and additional areas of operation. Key responsibilities include developing localized event graphics, email templates, brochure and event program layouts, and managing artist assets and Caramoor’s media files.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position that averages 20 hours per week. Candidates must be able to work on-site for a minimum of two days a week.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Graphic Design
    • In collaboration with the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager, develop eye-catching graphics and templates for use in Caramoor’s communications channels, including social media, email marketing, digital advertising, brochures and programs, event posters and flyers, and direct mail campaigns.
    • Assist in creating engaging and attractive content for Caramoor’s promotional channels.
    • Work closely with other departments, including Artistic, Development, and Special Events, to support their own design needs.
  • Website
    • Make regular updates to Caramoor’s Wordpress website, which may include resizing images, updating copy, and embedding video.
    • Ensure continuous event control.
    • Report any maintenance issues.
    • Create webpages as needed to support the team during series announcements.
  • Social Media
    • Collaborate with Marketing Manager and other team members on creating content for social media and digital advertising campaigns.
  • Publications
    • Work on templates and layout for all printed materials.
    • Gather assets from other departments for inclusion in printed materials.
    • Coordinating printing of materials either with printing partner or in-house.
  • Asset Management
    • Utilize best practices for safe storage and management of media and digital assets.
  • Miscellaneous
    • Collaborate with Marketing Director and Manager on brand guidelines and developing a clear and consistent visual language for all materials and channels.
    • Gather assets (bios, promotional materials, media etc) from artist representatives.
    • Collect printed materials from vendors and run other department errands as necessary.
    • Participate in strategy and brainstorming sessions within and across Caramoor departments.
    • Craft emails as needed during busier times of the season.
    • Support the team and organization with other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience and Education
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, marketing, or related fields is recommended. Past marketing, communications, nonprofit, or performing arts experience is a plus. Illustration experience/ability a plus.

Software and Technology Expertise
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with email marketing platforms and content management systems is a plus.

Customer Service & Communication
Must have a friendly and professional attitude and work well with others, with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Administrative Skills
Organized and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new opportunities. Ability to work on a variety of assigned tasks and maintain confidential information.
