Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, the Development Associate is responsible for all aspects of donor gift processing, database management, physical record keeping, and reporting from Blackbaud’s Raisers Edge NXT. This position maintains the accuracy and utility of the department’s mission-critical data.
Key Responsibilities
Enter and update constituent information and donations received through multiple channels in RE NXT; utilize LexisNexis for accuracy of donor records.
Process gifts and generate acknowledgement letters for signature and mailing in a timely manner.
Prepare daily reports to Finance and participate in monthly account reconciliations.
Produce and maintain giving reports for metric analysis and reporting to internal and external constituencies.
Produce donor lists for department mailings and marketing efforts, utilizing data manipulation and designing custom queries for specific appeals.
Assign and maintain rights for users in RE NXT.
Coordinate and facilitate staff development and training for RE NXT.
Work closely with Finance and Marketing to establish donor gift codes and attributes.
Adhere to and further develop policies and procedures to maintain, manage, and preserve database integrity.
Facilitate data transfers to third party wealth screening platform.
Order and track donor recognition signage; verify sponsor information appearing in marketing materials and communications.
Support grant application and reporting.
Occasionally assist with events on nights or weekends.
Participant in continuing educational activities for personal and professional growth.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
1-3 years database management, preferably in Blackbaud’s RE NXT.
Skilled in fundraising and office related technologies, including Excel and Word.
Experience in collaborating across departments.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and balance deadlines.
Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exercises discretion regarding confidential and institutional information.
Demonstrate interest in Caramoor’s mission, culture, and vision.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field a plus.
Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
