Caramoor Center for Music & the Arts is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our fantastic facilities team for the summer. Seasonal Facilities Crew Members support the maintenance of Caramoor’s grounds and historic estate, venues and administrative offices. This is a part-time, seasonal position requiring 25-35 hours per week with hours on weekdays and weekends.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Be proficient in operating equipment used for landscape and facility maintenance (mowers, power tools, etc.)
Assist with light construction, electrical, plumbing, and small engine maintenance and repair
Perform landscaping work, keep drives and walkways clear of debris
Help with cleaning and upkeep of buildings and restroom facilities, including trash removal
Occasionally assist with parking of guests/vendors on campus; unload deliveries
Alert supervisor to system and equipment failures, damage or concerns as they occur
Comply with health and safety standards and government regulations
Other tasks as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: Experience in a maintenance related field a plus. Gardening knowledge a plus.
Customer Service: Must have a friendly and professional attitude, work well with others while supporting operations, and maintain a welcoming demeanor when encountering guests on campus.

Working Conditions: Ability to work, at times, in a busy environment, be able to work and maneuver outdoors (in all weather conditions) on 80 acres of woodland trails, gravel pathways and spectacular gardens. Ability to work 20-30 hours per week. Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Authorization to work in the U.S. required.
